Students will improve their bass playing skills each week.
I have been teaching music for 17 years, with an additional one year of teaching music, art, and history in the elementary school setting as a student-teacher, and one year as a teacher assistant in Waldorf education. My music classes cover topics such as piano, technique and artistry, bass guitar, and music theory and analysis. My bachelor of music degree is in music education which I received in 2014 from The Master's University. This helped me achieve a firm grasp on the art of teaching music in both a group or private lesson setting.
Weekly assignments will be given. I encourage my students to play these assignments at least 1-2 hours outside of class time throughout the week.
Bass Guitar Amplifier (recommended but not needed at the start) Music Stand or other flat surface nearby to place music/make notes Pencil and notebook Books will be discussed between teacher and student **10 blank or ruled 3x5 or 4x6 index cards will be needed for beginner students on their first lesson**
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
