Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students will improve their bass playing skills each week.Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 12
Beginner - Advanced Level
These private bass guitar lessons are for beginner to intermediate players. Private bass lessons will allow me to create personalized goals and lessons with the student that also align with their own interests. If you're dying to learn your favorite Pop song, or Funky groove, or BOTH, I got you covered! Every lesson starts with a quick warm-up and review of what was previously learned. Learners should also be prepared to play their assignments from the previous week. We'll then dive deeper into a new musical concept while learning a popular or favorite riff/song. Before the end of each session, we'll review what was learned and go over their new goals for the week. Music is an essential art that I believe anyone can and should learn to love. I am committed to guiding students of all ages on how to explore the exceptional world of music and how to develop their own personal and distinctive strength as a musician by allowing them to achieve their highest musical potential through musicianship, performance, theory, and composition. I desire that each of my students will be able to enjoy the music that they create and to have satisfaction in their accomplishments.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from The Master's University
I have been teaching music for 17 years, with an additional one year of teaching music, art, and history in the elementary school setting as a student-teacher, and one year as a teacher assistant in Waldorf education. My music classes cover topics such as piano, technique and artistry, bass guitar, and music theory and analysis. My bachelor of music degree is in music education which I received in 2014 from The Master's University. This helped me achieve a firm grasp on the art of teaching music in both a group or private lesson setting.
