Do you love creating art? Do you love video games? If so, you'll love learning how to create beautiful pixel art in this ongoing class. Pixel art is a unique form of low-resolution (small) digital art that uses only little squares called pixels to create images. Just like in video games! Students will understand the importance of shading, coloring, and using different shapes and textures in their pixel art. They will improve their drawing ability and sometimes, even their ability to animate.
I have been creating pixel art for around 8 years. Recently, I have worked semi-professionally with this skill, doing art for an independent video game, including my own two independent video games.
You will need a computer or tablet. I highly recommend using a mouse instead of a touch screen or stylus.
