Audition Prep for Theater

This class is an opportunity for students of all skill levels to get one-on-one coaching with a trained actor and director who has been on both sides of the audition table. 

WHAT THIS COURSE IS GOOD FOR
- Practicing your audition in front of a trained director and engaging in mock auditions
- Getting feedback on your audition materials and skills
- Improving cold reading skills
- Polishing and perfecting pieces before your audition
- Compiling or editing your resume
- Discussing audition etiquette, tips for managing nerves, improv skills, and answering your questions about auditions
- Anything you need that will help you with your audition!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Students are encouraged to bring their audition materials. If your student needs help finding pieces for their audition, message me about the audition requirements prior to your lesson!
- This one time coaching session is tailored to meet the needs of the student. That means if your student has a specific goal or concern they'd like to address, we can definitely work on it together! Just be sure to let me know so we are on the same page
- This is a one time class and is meant to help learners improve their audition in a single sitting. Additional meetings can be added on a case-by-case basis, but it is private acting lessons are recommended if additional help is needed.

MY CREDENTIALS
- I am currently working toward a Theater Education Degree from Utah State University
- I have three years of experience in a high school theater class as an assistant director and teacher’s assistant
- I have cast and directed various shows for ages 14 and up and have had two years of experience coaching students ages 10 and up in private instruction
- I have been acting onstage for over twenty years
