Class Experience
This is a Private Dance Lesson. It will be geared to the individual learner. Learners should communicate with the teacher prior to the lesson to pick a dance style to focus on. Options Include:- Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Ballroom. (Please contact me for other options) Class Plan Example:- Introduction & Warm Up Dance Technique in the Chosen Style Cool Down/Reverence Teaching Style:- I have a positive approach to teaching. I like to praise and encourage. The pace of the class will reflect the student taking the class. Please contact me for any time requests for lessons.
Learning Goals
The student will be given individual tuition on Dance Technique in their chosen style learning basic techniques or improving upon technique.Other Details
Parental Guidance
As this is a dance class please ensure that children have enough free space to move around and remove anything they may bump into or knock down (e.g. your expensive vase!).
Class Attire:- Please wear appropriate free-moving clothes e.g. tee-shirt with leggings. Leotard/dance skirt.
Footwear:- This depends which style you are taking the dance class in. Please check with me for advice. Avoid socks unless on carpet due to slippery floors.
Fitness:- Your child should be in a fit and healthy state. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns.
Potential for Injuries:- This Dance class has very low risk for injuries when following the teacher's guidance.

I have been teaching dance for over 25 years. I am a qualified professional dance teacher with the NCDTA International and the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association). I am also an examiner with the NCDTA International. I have taught all ages from young children to adults in a variety of genres. I am currently the Children's Program Director of a Dance Studio in the USA.
