A weekly ongoing class for 1:1 English Language Arts tutoring. This is a tailored class that focuses on the individual learners reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and spelling skills.
Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 7
During our first session, learners can look forward to me getting to know them better. This entails me: 📝 Getting to know them in an academic sense (their learning style, what they’re struggling with, how they feel about learning, reading, writing, etc.) 🧒 Getting to know things like their hobbies, likes, dislikes, favorite things, etc. Building a bond with learners is one of my most important jobs as a teacher 😊 Next, the learner and I will work on the ELA skill(s) that they need to...
This class is taught in English.
- Students will improve their conversational English speaking skills. Students will improve their listening skills. Students will improve their spelling and reading skills. Students will improve their English grammar and phonics. Students will gain confidence in their ability to understand, speak, and express themselves.
I have tutored ELA for 7 years now both in person and online.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Homework
Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: I will provide students with supplemental worksheets that can be completed after class that will help them with building their vocabulary, spelling skills, reading comprehension, grammar, and sentence making.
Learners don't need to bring anything to class. We will use the annotate features so that learners are able to write on the screen so they should know how to use and navigate that Zoom feature.
