Class Experience

Students will learn how to effectively comprehend the material in their current English courses to grow their skills and confidence. 
Amanda Crane is the author of the poetry collection, Barbiecue, and she has poems published in numerous literary journals including: Barbaric Yawp, Chronogram, The Paterson Literary Review, and Sawbuck. She is a two-time Editor’s Choice recipient for the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award, and she is under review to become the Poetry Coordinator for the NJCTE: New Jersey Council of Teachers of English.  

Her MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry is from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and her BA in English/Creative Writing is from the State University of New York in New Paltz, New York. She has been an educator for 22 years, and she has served as a professional tutor, high school English teacher in a top rated district, and a Professor of English at a number of universities. 
The student's own homework and deadlines will be incorporated into each session. 
Please be able to share specific instructions/directions from your teacher so I can align the standards they are looking for the learner to achieve.
No extra resources other than the Outschool platform are used in this course.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
