In this ongoing course, collaboration with new friends is key as we create a story with a new theme each week. We'll focus on imagination, reading, & the joy of writing! Students will treasure these bedtime books that they can be proud of.

In this ongoing course, students will practice the important skill of collaboration by working together and taking turns with peers. Each week, we will create a brand new story and then read it together at the end of class. Students will practice their participation skills, manners, reading skills, as well as imagination and critical thinking skills as we venture into the creative world of storytelling and writing! Learning Objectives: - Collaboration skills - Communication skills - Manners (being polite, respectful, and taking turns) - Critical thinking & imagination skills - Listening skills - Reading skills - Writing Skills
It is highly recommended that students share the story they've written with family members to encourage further reading & writing beyond the classroom experience, but it is not required.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
