In this ongoing course, students will learn the basic preschool concepts as they explore a different th, rhyeme each week. Students will be actively engaged as they explore each theme using songs, stories, and rhymes to reinforce the concepts. Students will learn about letters, sounds, counting, numbers, shapes, colors, same, and different. Lesson focus questions are listed beside each theme. **Students are invited to bring in a small toy to share with the teacher. If possible, please relate the item to the theme for the week. Fall Semester: Week of September 26: A is for Apple (A is for apple, counting, Will an apple float?) Week of October 3: Digging Up Dinosaurs ( D is for Dinosaur, F is for Fossil, Counting, Bigger/Smaller) Week of October 10 Let's Go Sailing With Christopher Columbus (B is for boat, S is for sail, sink/float) Week of October 17: No Class! Gone for Vacation Week of October 24: Transportation (B is for bus, C is for car, first, second, third, rhyming words) Week of October 31: Fall Fun (Guess the Community Helpers) Week of November 7: All About Food (B is for banana, Healthy/Unhealthy food) November 14: Sailing With the Pilgrims (P is for pilgrim, f is for feast, C is for corn, sink/float) November 21: Happy Thanksgiving! (No Class) November 28: Dinosaur Beach (D is for dinosaur, big/small)

Teacher expertise and credentials
All kids can learn. It's my pleasure as a teacher to get the opportunity to help your child learn. I have 31 years of varied classroom teaching experience including preschool, kindergarten, first, third, and fifth grades. I also have two years of experience as an online ESL teacher. I have my Masters of Science in Elementary Education from Southwest Missouri State University. I love teaching kids! I have a passion and a love in my heart for helping kids.
