Students need an account on DnD Beyond. This is a service provided by the created by the creators of Dungeons and Dragons and is free to sign up on. I will have a link that students can join to create their characters on the first day of class! Students are encouraged to have a copy of the Player's Handbook available to them either online or physically. It can be found at any bookstore and most game stores. If not, a familiarity with the game is important.
10 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Dungeons and Dragons does have some combat, but I stay away from any kind of extensive descriptions of violence. I also avoid combat with people as much as possible.
This adventure will be based around the Ghosts of the Saltmarsh campaign published by Wizards of the Coast, but with my own spin on it!
