Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi and Welcome to Ms. Tessa’s Classroom!
I'm Ms. Tessa, and I am so excited to meet you! I am a teacher-author, 13-year veteran teacher, and a homeschool mama of 11 years. I have 5+ years of online teaching experience with grades kindergarten-5th grade. I specialize in literacy education and am the founder and head of school at a Texas private school.
I am so very passionate about what I do as an educational leader. I believe that language and literacy is the foundation for all learning; thus, it is imperative that your child experiences a quality, literacy and language arts education to set them up to succeed in all other subject areas.
My Educational Background and Aspirations:
I have a Child Development Associate, an Associates in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Science in Counseling Foundations, a TESOL certification, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in special education, religion, and general k-12 education.
My ultimate goal is to help children become confident readers, speakers and writers. We will grow together, learn together, jump over hurdles together, and reach goals together.
Fun Stuff about Me:
I love singing. I love spending time with my family. I love watermelon and cherries in the summer. I love listening to music and dancing at random times during the day (even when my kids think I'm weird and walk away). Sometimes I love long car rides, but only if the kids are on their best behavior.
Thanks for reading and I hope to see you in my online classroom!
Ms. Tessa
