My goal with this course is to prevent the “summer slide” so that your child is ready to learn when school resumes in the fall. However, your child’s progress is also dependent upon the amount of time spent at home, outside of class, working on these skills. Children thrive with consistency; thus, I encourage you to be consistent in having your child practice at least 5 days a week, 20-30 minutes a day outside of class time.
I will provide printable worksheet activities that correspond to each class session. I will also provide printable fluency charts and flashcards that can reviewed daily. Lastly, I will provide sight word curriculum worksheets that your learner should complete daily to help master the 92, Dolch sight words they should know when entering 1st grade. I recommend learners spend 20-30 minutes practicing skills daily throughout the summer to prevent the summer slide!
