All advanced logic enthusiasts are welcome! This class is designed for higher level thinkers that need a challenge in their learning. Those who have taken and excelled in my On-Going Logic class are the inteded target of this class. The teacher's background is in teaching gifted students in a pull-out program. The learners should have experience with logic puzzles, and enjoy being challenged. Private links will be provided for addtional sections if the teacher approves after meeting learner in the regular logic class. In each class, students will work together to solve puzzles that are logic based. They will share their strategies with each other to solve the problems. Students will rely on each other to share their thought processes so that they can learn different strategies than they may have otherwise used. Puzzles will be displayed on a slide show and we will work through them as the class progresses. Learners will share in various ways. At times their answers will be shared via chat box with the teacher only so if they do not have the correct answer, they can try again without anyone else knowing that they gave an incorrect answer. At other times, they will take turns solving a problem, often using the annotation tools in Zoom. These methods change depending on the type of puzzle that we are working on that week and what will work best for that puzzle. NOTE: This is a continuation class for "Debby Certified GATE Teacher" who is resigning as of the end of March, 2024. Week of April 1 - Logic Puzzles Week of April 8 - Logic Puzzles Week of April 15 - Logic Puzzles Week of April 22 - Logic Puzzles Week of April 29 - Logic Puzzles Week of May 6 - Logic Puzzles
Learning Goals
Students will develop their logical thinking using various types of puzzles and games.

I am a certified educator with 20 years teaching experience. I've taught both elementary and middle school, as well as been a gifted education teacher for over half of my teaching career. Gifted education is a special passion of mine so many of my classes are tailored towards gifted and/or high-level learners, however I'm happy to work with any student who is interested in learning and growing. My ultimate goal is to create classes and activities which encourage students to step up their thinking with a little bit of challenge, all while having fun in a safe, nurturing, and caring environment.
