Class Experience

Students will develop an understanding of soil components and mineralogy.
Students will be able to describe cycling of water, rocks, and gasses through Earth's spheres.
Students will develop knowledge of tectonic, fluvial, and weather processes.
Students will relate how Earth's systems support life to the potential for life in the universe (astrobiology).
I am a licensed high school agriscience teacher and have taught or completed upper level coursework in geology, physics, chemistry, earth science, atmospheric science, natural resources, and ecosystem science. I have also completed several professional trainings for science instruction as well as instruction pertaining to watershed science and equity. 
Students will have one research assignment to complete individually each week. Research assignments should take about 30 minutes to complete and they will share back in class.
Links to interactive/supplemental resources will be provided at the beginning of each module. Worksheets will be posted to the classroom.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Grades can be provided at parent request.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
