Class Experience

Students will be exploring what happens to the water and animals in an area where an oil spill has occurred.  In this hands-on activity-based class, students will be recreating a small scale oil spill in a container of water to observe what happens during an oil spill as well as discovering ways to help after an oil spill.  No background knowledge is necessary and students will be evaluated throughout the lesson by being given check for understanding questions.

Supply List
Students will need a container of water, oil (any kind), a feather, and dish soap.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
