In this one-time, 60-minute class, learners will explore the properties of oil paint and get a start on a finished oil painting.
Class experience
In this class, we will look at the different materials artists use when oil painting and the care of those materials. Students will have the opportunity to start an oil painting using some of these techniques. Students will explore how this type of paint differs from others like tempera or acrylic. They will have the chance to try out these materials to begin to create an oil painting. We'll specifically focus on color blending using oil paints. We'll start off with some introductions...
