This class will discuss what a typical snowy day is like. We will talk about appropriate clothes and fun things suited for this cold season. We will also describe activities that we don't normally do when it's cold. There will be singing with hand and upper body movements (This is not a strenuous exercise to prepare for and it can be done while seated at the computer.), drawing a snowman step by step and paper cutting snowflakes. The children will also have the opportunity to express their...
Students will be introduced to vocabulary words melt, freeze, winter and cold. They will learn to draw a snowman step by step and cut out snowflakes. They will be asked to choose what activities are suitable for the winter and which ones are not. They will learn a winter song and will get to do a lot of singing in class.
Even though this is a one time class. The students homework is to draw their families' picture of doing an activity that they all enjoy on a winter day. Don't forget to color your picture. Share it with your family and friends.
Please come with the following materials: pencil, one sheet of white paper, another white paper in a square shape and a pair of child safe scissors.
No form of class grade will be determined, not unless the parent request for it. In this case a letter grade will be provided.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
