Bring your pet or stuffed animal and join me for Story Time! Students will learn about the variety of pets they can have throughout the reading of the book Oh,the Pets You Can Get by Tish Rabe from The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library. Along with a discussion of the book, students will practice their social skills of communicating, active listening, and taking turns by sharing a story or two about their pet or stuffed animal. Children love to share stories with others, especially about their pets, so this is the perfect class for them to share while also practicing very important social skills for proper communication.
Learning Goals
- Students will be able to actively listen to a read aloud and participate in a class discussion.
- Students will be able to demonstrate social skills such as communicating, listening, and taking turns.
