SALUT! Welcome to OH, LÀ LÀ! Intermediate French Tutoring! This session/ these sessions will be tailored to your goals/ needs. You can expect to find help toward the mastery of topics covered in French 3 or French 4. The COMMUNICATIVE METHOD (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening) is used. Instruction given in English & French. I use the metaphor of a symphony ORCHESTRA to explain the six major Parts of Speech, and how they function ‘in concert’: Articles, Nouns (& Pronouns), Adjectives, Verbs, Adverbs, and Prepositions. Here are the GRAMMAR Topics covered in this tutorial: ◊ ARTICLES: Partitive Articles ◊ NOUNS & PRONOUNS: Object Pronouns (direct and indirect), Order of Object Pronouns; Disjunctive Pronouns ◊ VERBS: 1. TENSES: Perfect Past (le passé composé); Imperfect Past (l’imparfait); Pluperfect Past (le plus-que-parfait); Simple/ Historical Past (le passé simple); Near Future (le futur proche); Simple Future (le future simple); Present and Past Conditional (le conditionnel). 2. MOODS: Indicative; Interrogative (forms & use); Imperative (forms & use); Subjunctive (forms & use). 3. Reflexive Verbs (forms & use). 4. Savoir vs. Connaître. 5. The Passive Voice. 6. Impersonal Expressions. 7.
