Inviting all of you beginning language enthusiasts to come join me for your launch into loving French! Every day is a good day to learn a new language, so let's lay the brick basics in your foundation and have fun doing it! Your student will actively learn and practice speaking French inside of a positive and safe class culture, experiencing teacher-student interaction using listen-repeat verbalization exercises (with explanations in English), and repetition/response with the use of visual memorization aids. Here is the outline of what we will cover in class: • Welcome To Class and Introductions/Review French Greetings • Daily French Fact • Vocabulary Review (from F1 & F2 classes...not required for this class, but helpful) • Parisian Fashion Tip • ("How are you and what do you feel?") The Present Tense Verb, “Être" • Emotions || Vocabulary Building • Meet a Famous French person • Celebrations! Review of the Day! I like to gauge how the students are apprehending the content to determine the pace of the class, and if we need more or less time on a certain component. Allons-y! :)
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is for beginning students to express their emotions using the verb, "Être," and gaining vocabulary related to their emotions. Additionally they will review of the French P1 and P2 class vocabulary (P1 & P2 classes are not required for Part 3, but are helpful). I believe we remember more easily what we experience, so they will have intermittent contextual snapshots of French culture as they listen, repeat, interact and see slides/visuals. Students will also learn more about the culture behind French through a French fact of the day, a Parisian style tip, and learning about a famous person from France. Students will also practice celebrating growth and encouraging one another in the brave new endeavor of learning a language!

Teacher expertise and credentials
While I have my B.A. in Foreign Languages/Liberal Studies and studied abroad, my immersion experience as a teenager in France made a beautiful permanent imprint on me for the rest of my life. It will be amazing to give that delight to other youth, that they can experience this same sweetness throughout their lives through French and learning more about the francophone world. Also, I just love youth and I love the French language! My background in France, Quebec/Université Laval and in teaching and coaching children allows me to bring a sort of contagious energy where students will ignite their natural curiosity, which is the perfect kindling to take hold of a new language!
