Tutorials is similar to office hours. You can come and go as needed.* If you are struggling with specific concepts we are learning and/or homework assigned for the semester classes, I encourage you to consider joining me for "tutorials." ⏲️Join me for 25 minutes of math help! This class is for all CURRENTLY enrolled semester students. These classes include: Algebra 1 Semester 1 Algebra 1 Semester 2 Pre-Algebra Semester 1 Pre-Algebra Semester 2 Assistance is on a first come, first serve basis. I will be checking in with students who arrive at the beginning of class and begin assisting each learner individually. Please have your notes/homework ready when you arrive. ✅This class IS intended to give a little extra support to students who are struggling in my semester classes or who would like extra assistance. ✅This class IS for currently enrolled semester students. ❌This class is NOT for math work that has not been assigned by me through our classes. ❌This class is NOT intended to replace 1:1 tutoring if that is what your learner needs. ❌This class is NOT available to students who are not currently enrolled in a semester class. Available times for Office Hours with Mrs. Willis are subject to change without notice. *Please note that assistance is on a first come, first served basis. For example, if you arrive with 5 minutes left in the session, you may not be helped as I may be wrapping up with students. The best advice I can give is to arrive early and arrive prepared!

Texas Teaching Certificate in Mathematics
The courses I offer center around core math topics in pre-algebra and algebra. I like to focus on the important building blocks students need to master in middle school and early high school in order to succeed in high school and beyond. Some of these topics cover proportionality, equations, inequalities, basic geometry, algebraic expressions, and arithmetic.
I am a certified teacher for grades 4-8 math and have over four years of professional experience teaching math to students ranging from grades 3 to 12. I taught seventh grade math while getting my credentials and taught my first year of seventh grade math at an amazing school. Though I left full-time teaching when I became a mother in 2019, I have continued to pursue my passion for teaching math part-time via various platforms.
My philosophy that drives my teaching is that every student is a unique person who is worthy of my time. I have the patience to work with students who are struggling in math and the ability to push students who are naturally inclined towards math. My goals when working with students are to teach and encourage.
When I'm not teaching/tutoring I can be found snuggling my babies, spending quality time with friends and family, and playing disc golf with my wonderful husband. Reviews
