Class Experience
Would you rather paint a picture or play a game? In this class, you can do both. You will learn a little about painting an ocean-themed acrylic painting while we socialize. Each learner should choose their own paint colors. While there will be a demonstration, creativity is encouraged. Get your reactions and questions ready in case a game of Would You Rather breaks out. Students will learn to use lines to create texture in an acrylic painting.
I have taught in brick-and-mortar schools for 30 years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas as well as art and STEAM classes for grades K-5.
No homework will be assigned.
Canvas Pencil Eraser Paints- colors of the student's choice preferably Cup of water Paper towel Pallett Paintbrushes Creativity Smile
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed informally throughout the lesson. At the end of the lesson, the students will be encouraged to share their paintings with the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be determining some of the conversations that we have during the course of this class.
No outside sources will be utilized.
