**Learners should have prior experience counting to 10**. In this one-time class, students will practice active listening, counting, and adding objects that equal up to 10. The teacher will read, "Over in the Ocean: In a Coral Reef." Using a fun hands-on activity, learners will be presented with a number card, and after identifying the number, add that number of fish to the bowl. They will then be presented with a different number, and after identifying it, add that number of fish to the bowl. Learners will count the fish to see how many fish are in the bowl all together. Students will have the opportunity to practice saying the math sentence that describes their fishbowl. This class will be a fun and engaging way for students to learn addition. Practicing how to count and add, will set the foundation for learning when working with more advanced numbers and math concepts.
