This enrichment combines storytelling, art, and hands-on science exploration. We’ll follow an “ocean adventure” storyline each day, where your child becomes ocean explorer, discovering new creatures and ecosystems.

Beginner Level
In this class, your child will learn about coral reefs, sharks and dolphins, ocean pollution and clean up, and bioluminescent organisms. The class is structured with one topic being discussed each week. There will be one class per week for 5 weeks. I will teach your child using pictures and videos to show information and we will do a hands on activity each week. I like to have fun while teaching and bring the information to life, making it relevant for your child. We will have video clips and art projects.
Learning Goals
Students will identify key ocean habitats such as coral reefs, the deep sea, and the open ocean.
Students will recognize and describe different marine animals like sharks, dolphins, and deep-sea creatures.

Supply List
Small boxes or shoe boxes for dioramas. Recycled materials (e.g., plastic bottle caps, cardboard, bottle tops) to create mini reef elements. Colored paper, glue, scissors, markers, and paint. Small props (whistles, echoing tubes, or plastic cones) to simulate dolphin communication sounds. Cardboard or construction paper to create “shark fins” for roleplay Glow-in-the-dark paint or stickers for crafting bioluminescent creatures. Black construction paper for creating a deep-sea scene. Recycled materials for creating eco-friendly art (e.g., bottle caps, old magazines, and newspapers).
