25 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one-time class, we will learn about the amazing ocean ecosystem called the kelp forest, and the animals that live there! Some of the animals we will discuss are sea otters, jeweled top snails, and gray whales. We will learn what their habitat is like, what they like to eat, where they can be spotted, and other fun facts about these amazing creatures! We will use pictures, video clips, maps, and fun facts to help us discuss the animals. The class will be relaxed with a fun atmosphere, so that learners feel comfortable to participate. Learners will be encouraged to interact and share information about the animals. I would love to know what your learner’s favorite kelp forest creature is!
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to learn about some of the interesting marine life in our oceans. My hope is that this class helps to develop a love for marine biology!
