We begin class with a time of sharing what each learner has observed in their outdoor adventures. Students are encouraged to get outside each day and observe all that is around them. Also learners are encouraged to be curious and to look up animals and plants that interest them. Learners can make journal entries of their findings.
1. Students are encouraged to have a nature journal. Small sketchbooks are inexpensive. Students can draw on a notecard to glue into their sketchbook or they can print out pictures to glue into them. 2. Favorite art medium: pencils, color pencils, markers, and my favorite: watercolors.
3 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I will use a Google Slides presentation as well as You Tube Videos and websites for drawing tutorials. I will use Kahoot! for the final day of class.
