As a teacher, I have 10 years of experience, working and teaching students of all ages. I personally love Science, and have worked with various Science based curriculums throughout the years. This lesson follows along with the curriculum that is taught at this age range.
Homework is optional for this course. Students will be encouraged to create their own guessing game, using the same card format as we used in class. Students will be provided with blank cards to create their own questions and answers. Students will also be provided with the link to access our Kahoot game after class. Students will be able to play independently at home to review their new knowledge.
1 file available upon enrollmentStudents do not need to have access to other materials to take this course. A fun incentive for students to participate in our Kahoot game, is a printable answer card. This card will be provided for students to print out prior to class. Students may also make their own colored card, if they would like. This card is not required (students can use their fingers, or tell their answer out loud).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be playing Kahoot! Students will answer questions at the end of class (True/False and Multiple Choice) to show their understanding of these ocean animals. This will be an informal assessment. Students will also be allowed to access these games after class for additional review and assessment.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental Guidance is not required for this course. Material is student friendly, and can be reviewed prior to class beginning. Please reach out with any questions you may have. Thank you!
