Class Experience

In this one-time class, builders will be use their building bricks to help build our way through an adventure story. During class, we will begin a journey home but along the journey, we will encounter many interesting obstacles such as: lava, a cliff, wild weather, and interesting creatures blocking our path. Students are invited to attend this one-time class as often as they'd like because each class will result in a new building adventure!

As we encounter each obstacle, builders will each use their creativity to build their own solutions to help us get past the obstacle. Each builder will have a chance to tell us how their building brick creations will help us overcome the obstacles. Throughout our journey, builders will create solutions for a few different obstacles that we encounter. For a little extra fun, I always share a few bonus obstacles for at home building fun after class via the Outschool Classroom.

This is a bit quicker paced building class than some of my other classes for young builders but not as fast paces as by building adventure and escape room classes. In this class, builders will be encouraged to let their imaginations run wild as we spend a few minutes creating solutions for each obstacle. Builders will be encouraged to add more details to their creations or to add on to the adventure story after class if they would like.

During this class, builders will be encouraged to share their ideas and creations with the class, to use their creativity and problem solving powers, to listen respectfully to one another, and to encourage each other along the way.

This class is limited to 6 builders to allow all builders the opportunity to share their creations throughout class and to join in discussion about our adventure journey.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello Families,
My name is Danielle Day. I have a passion for inspiring young learners! I have a degree in Elementary Education. I have taught in both homeschool and public elementary school settings over the the last 18 years. I have also taught ESL online. Aside from teaching, I have coached basketball and a Building Brick League Team. I think learning should be authentic, engaging, and fun! My husband and I have 3 sons. As a family, we enjoy playing games, reading, riding our bikes, building with building bricks, and exploring nature.

- If you do not see dates listed for a class, that does not mean that I'm no long teaching the class or that it isn't awesome. It just means that right now, I have more class ideas than available hours in the day. I try to balance opening a variety of classes and leaving myself some time to be able to accommodate requested classes. Please never hesitate to send me a message requesting that I open more sessions of a class!

I hope to meet your learner(s) in class soon!
Have a great day,
Mrs. Day
