In this one time class, students will use household objects to create an obstacle course and race through their challenge.

We will begin class with introductions. Next we will talk about different parts of an obstacle course. What makes something an obstacle? Do obstacles have to be big or can they also be small? Then students will go on a scavenger hunt to find items to use in their obstacle course. They will have a couple of minutes to set up their course and each student will take a turn demonstrating how to run their course. Next, students will share ways to make the courses harder and take turns adding those challenges. This is a very active class so students may need to have something to drink close at hand.
