Class experience
Superheroes assemble! Everyone feels stressed, and that’s okay! Through this interactive class, students will learn: - What stress is - What their “Bat-Signal” may be (how they know they’re stressed and what stress can feel like) - Different “superpowers” (tools, techniques, and tips) they can activate to help them overcome stress - The difference between good stress and bad stress Students will also have the opportunity to practice a couple of the learned “superpowers” as a class! Students will leave the class with an understanding of what stress is and how it can feel, tools they can use to overcome it, and the difference between good and bad stress. This class will normalize stress and promote healthy ways of working through it.
I have learned through many educational and professional experiences different ways of promoting positive mental health as well as stress and meditation techniques. I am also very passionate about this topic and have enjoyed teaching it to children and youth in the past.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The focus of this class is for students to learn different tools that may be helpful in managing stress. Please note that this is not meant to take place of any medical advice.
