Wake up and start your day with a beginner ballet class! We will be getting into the Holiday spirit with Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker soundtrack. This class is for young dancers wanting to learn and experience ballet.

During "Nutcracker themed ballet", students will be introduced to ballet. We will learn fundamental basics of ballet including positions, and basic terminology. We will begin class with a stretch, followed by learning arm and feet positions in first, second, and fifth position. We will learn how to effectively point our feet, and carry that work to learning about tendus. We will also learn plie's and releve's. This class is meant for children with little to no formal ballet training, but is also good for students who are familiar to brush up and refine the technique.

Supply List
Learners will need an open space to move around in. Learners should have water handy so they do not need to leave the zoom screen. This will be an active class. Please wear form fitted clothing that learners can move and stretch comfortably in. Please no dresses and no skirts without leggings or tights underneath. Learners may choose to take this class barefoot or with ballet shoes if the learner has.

Hello all!
Miss Macey here, a passionate dance educator from Florida.
For the past five years I have taught students ranging from 5-18 ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and improvisational dance classes. I have also set solo and group dances for competition students.
I obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in dance from New World School of the Arts/University of Florida in May of 2021. I now dance professionally with a dance company in Florida and am the competition director at a studio.
I have attended numerous summer intensives such as Alonzo King LINES ballet, the Radio City Rockettes Summer Intensive, Hubbard Street Pre-Professional summer intensive and many more!
I love sharing my love for the arts with students, and helping them to discover their fullest potential! My goal as a teacher is to encourage and motivate students to be the best version of themselves, giving 100%, while of course, having fun.
