In this one time class learners will listen, analyze, move and play along with the March from the Nutcracker. Class will begin with some interesting facts about the composer Tchaikovsky and his Nutcracker Ballet. Next, learners will follow a listening map to discover how the composer organized the composition. The class may choose to move along with the listening map, demonstrating the form through actions. If the class chooses the movement activity, the learner will need a small space to jog in place, march in place, tip toe in place, walk in place and crouch high and low. These movement will follow the form and tempo of the song.
