This course will begin with a meet/greet introduction to help students feel comfortable through a question and answer session) while In their comfortable pajamas. Students will be provided with numerous clues regarding the chosen upcoming sketch and take turns guessing. Once students guess the sketch, we will practice saying the nursery rhyme that's related and identify rhyming words. We will have fun sketching the item together while reciting our little hearts out. This will be a fun and exciting way to help stir up more excitement expanding literacy. Learning Outcomes: ~Strengthen phonemic awareness by identifying rhyming words. ~Foster creativity through artistic expression. ~Build confidence in sharing work with peers.

Students will need cocoa, pajamas, paper, pencils and crayons.

I come to you with a Masters of Arts in Teaching specializing in Early Childhood Education from Walden University and an ESL certification (TESOL). I am a licensed teacher who has been in the teaching arena for 14 years and I can honestly say that I still truly love what I do with every fiber within me. My teaching experience includes pre-k (80-85% ESL students every class), kindergarten and 1st grade. Also, my high schoolers and elementary child have expanded my teaching abilities as well. Children are our precious gifts and I am passionate about participating in the process of helping to mold them into their best selves.
