20 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one time class, young students will get to explore the use of nunchucks. Students will need to have their own nunchucks for this class as we prepare ourselves to be ninjas! Side note: the Dollar Store often has foam nunchucks, and students will just need one pair (not a two-piece set) for this class. In each class, students will: -Warm up their bodies with exercises -Talk about safety while using nunchucks -Explore various moves with the nunchucks -Learn a front kick -Incorporate the different moves and kick together Students do not need any prior knowledge to take this class. Please note that I will be showing a variety of moves for ALL the children to try, though some of them, coordination wise, will best be accomplished by the older students. All students will be encouraged to play, enjoy, and attempt all moves to the best of their ability. This is a FUN ninja class!

Parental Guidance
Parents should provide adequate space for movement and play throughout this class to ensure their learner does not trip/bump into anything. Students should wear clothing that allows them to move freely. Parents should also provide supervision as needed while using the nunchucks, and all students should be sure to have FOAM or soft nunchucks.
Supply List
Each student needs a single pair of nunchucks. These can usually be found at the local dollar store, or can even be homemade using thin gray foam that you would find for covering pipes (like pool noodles, but thinner...can be found at Home Depot), attached with a thick string.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi there! My name is Jessica, and I am a homeschooling mom to four children. I have worked with preschool and kinder aged children for over 15 years, and have done everything from running a preschool center, teaching classes, and designing curriculums for use by others. I also owned my own music business for a few years, teaching children 6 months-5 years the foundational aspects of music. I will offer your young children active, engaging, and fun classes on a variety of topics!
I have my black belt in mma (mix of Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, American Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), as well as a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu, and regularly teach classes to everyone from toddlers to adults. I love helping children make a connection between fitness/health and fun by making workouts a fun experience rather than one to dread.
I am a certified group fitness instructor, and carry an additional certification as a Youth Exercise Specialist. I love helping teens and preteens explore how they can be strong, healthy, and active individuals. I hope to give your teenaged children, whether they are active athletes or not, a great workout through a variety of offerings for fitness, strength, agility, etc.
I have a personal love for financial responsibility. Although I run several websites, I especially enjoy running my site dedicated to helping others how to live debt free and financially wise lives. I love teaching children about entrepreneurship and money matters through fun thematic units such as “building their own cupcake shop”, to help them understand money in a practical, meaningful, way.
I hope that my experience in these areas, as well as my background and love for teaching children will lead to inspiring classes that your children leave feeling accomplished, encouraged, and eager to come back for more!
