Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
Beginner Level
Welcome to "Numbers for Preschoolers: Identify, Write, Count!"—a fun and engaging online course designed specifically for young learners. This self-paced class introduces preschoolers to numbers one through five through colorful, printable worksheets and delightful videos.

Understanding the numbers 1 through 5 is crucial for preschoolers as it lays the foundation for early math skills, including counting and number recognition. It helps children understand quantities and comparisons, develop fine motor skills through writing, and enhances cognitive abilities like problem-solving and pattern recognition. Additionally, learning these numbers builds vocabulary and prepares children for practical applications in everyday life, setting the stage for future mathematical learning and boosting their confidence.

What Your Child Will Learn:
-Number Identification: Recognize and name numbers one through five.
-Number Writing: Practice tracing writing numbers with easy-to-follow guides.
-Counting Skills: Count objects and develop early math skills.

Course Layout:
This is a five-week course that covers the numbers one through five. In each lesson, there is an educational, animated video that explains the number of the week and how to write it. There is also a sing-along song video. Finally, there is a full-color printable mat kids can use to work on identifying the number of the week, counting to it, and tracing/writing it.

In lesson five, you will find a certificate of completion that you can print out to keep a record that your child completed this course!

Course Length:
This course is set up to take five weeks to complete. Each week there will be a new number covered. The lessons are designed to be micro-lessons that are engaging and fun to keep your learner's attention. You can expect to spend 25-60 minutes/week for this course.

Teacher:
I have a master's degree in online curriculum design. I have designed this course using fun printable worksheets for preschoolers who homeschool and animated videos on YouTube. Hello! I'm Briann. Welcome to my classroom page! I hope you find something here you like. I started my journey Outschool teaching social classes. But if you look at my class listing offerings, you'll notice that I have expanded from that. I now offer three different types of classes.

Live Group Classes:
All of my live group classes are social classes. Each class offers breakout rooms so kids can get into small groups and build an online community of friends their own age. These classes are offered in the afternoons and work great as a recess break for homeschoolers or kids who just want extra time to talk and hang out in the summer. You can check out the various class themes below.

Self-Paced Classes:
The second type of classes I offer are self-paced extracurricular or problem-solving classes. You can find these in the self-paced tab below. These are niche classes that address particular topics, like how drugs and alcohol affect your brain or how to do long division. So, if your learner wants to know about something specific or is struggling with a particular concept of math, then take a look at these classes.

Groups
I offer several interesting groups that kids can sign up for. The groups are a mix of social and educational experiences and are paid for via monthly subscription. Groups don't have live meetings; instead, they are like private Reddit pages for kids! Kids can make posts, talk with others in the group via post chats, and even upload photos and videos. My most popular group so far has been my minecraft Java group that gives your learner access to the group board and a private Java server to build and explore.
