Student will practice counting. Students will learn early addition skills using numbers 0-10.
I have taught kindergarten-first grade math skills for over 10 years, but I have many years of experience teaching/tutoring a variety of ages in the area of math. I also have taken many professional development courses to continue my craft in providing effective instruction that helps students achieve goals and become successful learners. More than anything, I am just a person who cares and wants children to feel successful and accomplished.
Handouts will be provided after class to allow students to continue practicing early addition skills at home.
4 files available upon enrollmentDry erase boards/markers are very helpful in practicing math skills and make it easy for students to erase and continue practicing but not required. Handouts will be provided upon enrollment. If students do not have a printer, that is ok. They will still be able to practice with the class. pencil paper eraser crayons objects for counting- math cubes, cheerios, counters, circle or square cut-outs, etc. (Numberblock cubes are not required.)
Informal assessment will take place during the course.
