The primary learning goal is for students in this course is to develop strong problem-solving skills and become confident in applying a variety of mathematical strategies, specifically tailored for 3rd and 4th grade students, to effectively solve mathematical equations and word problems. 

As an experienced educator with a passion for teaching and a strong background in elementary education, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the "Number Ninjas" course. Over the course of 8 years I had the privilege of instructing students in kindergarten through third grade in a public-school setting where I honed my teaching skills and developed creative instructional approaches to engage young learners. 
In addition to my public-school experience, I embarked on a rewarding journey as a homeschool parent. I successfully homeschooled my own boys from their pre-k years all the way up to fifth grade, providing them with a solid foundation and fostering a love for learning. This hands on experience has deepened my understanding of individualized instruction, differentiated learning, and the importance of tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. 

Homework Offered
Homework will occasionally be assigned. It will be individual assignments. Homework should take no more than 15 minutes.
Assessments Offered
The child will be assessed with informal assessments and exit tickets. 
Grades Offered

We will use Nearpod presentations in the classes. We may also occasionally use Kahoot activities.
