Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this ongoing course, students will practice a variety of counting skills including counting by 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 10s to 100. They will also practice basic one and two digit addition and subtraction skills. We will have an engaging class that includes songs, opportunities for students to practice saying and writing the numbers and an interactive game to help with number identification and addition and subtraction equation solving. No experience necessary! This is an ESL friendly class and can be joined at any time. Each student will receive a tracing worksheet and equation worksheet for the week that focuses on the skill of the week.

Week of July 31- Skip counting by 5s to 100 (addition) 
Week of August 7- Skip counting by 10s to 100 (subtraction) 
Week of August 14- Counting by 1s to 35 (addition) 
Week of August 21- Skip counting by 2s to 60 (subtraction) 
Week of August 28- Skip counting by 3s to 60 (addition) 
Week of September 4- Counting by 1s to 25 (addition)
Week of September 11- Skip counting by 2s to 50 (subtraction) 
Week of September 18- Skip counting by 3s to 60 (addition)
Week of September 25- Skip counting by 4s to 60 (subtraction)

Hi everyone! Welcome to class! I am Miss Kate. I have 15+ years of teaching experience with students ages 2-14 years old. I am passionate about early childhood education and building the foundation for life long learning. My classes will be engaging and focus on a variety of topics including early literacy, early math and life skills. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and 3 (yes, three) big dogs!

I believe in engaging and playful learning and will teach my classes in a fun and interactive way including songs, digital & interactive games, and lots of interaction and opportunities for engagement. 

I am certified to teach K-8 Elementary, K-12 Special Education and Early Childhood Education. In addition, I have a certificate in Child Psychology from Penn Foster, a certificate in Autism Studies from Arizona State University and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Arizona State University. I love to teach and look forward to meeting your child!
