Description

Class Experience

What is nuclear energy? How is it made? How dangerous is it? These are some of the questions that we will discuss in this class. Nuclear power is an incredible source of energy but radioactive waste is a great concern. 

Students will learn how nuclear energy is made through fission and fusion. We will explore a nuclear power plant and some of the important jobs that people have there. We will take a look at nuclear power plants around the world, and the different ways that nuclear waste is...

I work in sustainabilty and am passionate about sustainable energy systems. As an undergraduate I studied physics and chemistry, and I believe students should be exposed to it at a younger age. You're never too young to be a scientist!

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
