The Best School Year Ever by Barbara Robinson is a hilarious book that continues the adventures of the Herdmans. "The Herdmans are the most famous kids at Woodrow Wilson School. In fact, they are the most famous kids in the whole town and they are the worst kids in the history of the world. They are dirty, rotten, lazy, and ornery. Every September the students and teachers gear up for another year of dealing with the Herdmans. But no matter what precautions are taken, they manage to cause...
Students will read 3 chapters a week outside of class so we can discuss them when we meet. Students will also practice summarizing and predicting by writing in a journal for each chapter.
Each student will need a copy of the book The Best School Year Ever by Barbara Robinson. Students will also need to print out the weekly vocabulary sheets and have paper, pencil, or a notebook available to use for journal entries.
