Other Details

Parental Guidance
The Sea of Monsters does deal with magic and Greek Mythology. There are also many monster fights and mentions of the gods and goddesses being the Demi-gods parents (half god/half human). We will be talking about Greek Mythology as it pertains to the book and not promote one belief over another. Percy learns lessons about honoring friendships, even with kids who aren't considered cool, and sets aside rivalries to do what's right.

Hi I am Teacher Kaylyn and I have been working with children in many different ways for over 15 years in many different ways. Most recently I have taught online for online since 2019, teaching ESL and here on Outschool. I have a 6 year old son and I am used to high energy fun. I love to make learning fun and I want to share my interests with others. Since I do have a young son I love to teach young students. It is great when they figure something out and you can see something click. I love to read and I really like to do book studies to share that love with others. I have learned that to start a passion for reading you need to find the right books that you can't put down. I want to help others to their own books they are passionate about. I love to make candies and my family loves it when I do also; they get all the samples. I hope to see you in class soon!
