Class Experience

 I have a B.A. Social Sciences from Washington State University. I have been teaching English online for three years.
There will be reading and worksheets to work on each week.
Students will need a copy of "Kensuke's Kingdom" by Michael Morpurgo in any format.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Michael Morpurgo wrote this book based on his own experience of going over-board his own parents' boat in his childhood. Written in first person, the events in the book are harrowing as he tries to survive and deal with the reality of being separated from his parents. These topics may be disturbing to some young readers. Parents should visit the author's website:
