Beginning Grammar Class. This introductory class is great for learners new to Grammar; we are starting with Nouns. In this class we will learn the definition of a Noun and talk about the definition. We will also participate in games where we can identify different "people, places, and things". This class will include some lecture style teaching; as well as, give learners opportunities to participate in activities and ask questions. In my classes I like to make learning fun; I also think it is very important to encourage my learners. I want learners to come away from my classes learning new skills and having confidence to try new things!

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
