US Grade Kindergarten - 2
**Please see the supply list for this class. In this one time class, students will define what a noun is and generate a class list of nouns all around them through discussion and observation. Students will categorize and create their own lists of nouns on anchor chart worksheets that are provided for printing at home. We will use the remaining three worksheets to work our way through coloring, cutting, pasting, and writing activities to help us identify and utilize nouns correctly in sentences. We will use multiple learning styles to support mastery of the content, and students will be able to share their own ideas and creations made in class. If we have a full class, we may go a few minutes over time to allow each learner an opportunity to share. If time allows, we will finish the class playing "I Spy" as we hunt for nouns around us. Come prepared to learn, engage, and pack a lot in. We will have fun together as we discover the nouns all around us! I can't wait to see you there! ***It would be helpful to cut out words from the cut and paste worksheet ahead of class.

A little about me... I am a mom, wife, and teacher. I am a huge animal lover, and have several pets of my own. When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family outdoors biking, hiking, enjoying the beach or Disney, and exploring new adventures. Movies and game nights are also family favorites! I have a fondness for reading writing, and crafts, as well. I love meeting new students, connecting with others, and sharing the joy of learning.
I look forward to seeing you in my classroom soon. We are going to have a blast!
