Class Experience

In this one-to-one 45 minute session, the student will receive a crash course in how to maximize their use of the Apple Pencil while using the Apple Notes app on an iPad. We'll explore skills and tricks that will enhance productivity and creativity on the iPad! Many of these helpful skills will transfer into other apps on the iPad.

For this class, you will need an iPad and either an Apple Pencil 1 or 2. We will be using Apple Notes and Safari which were installed on your iPad when it was purchased. (Please check that they have not been deleted.) Make sure your iPad is updated to the latest OS otherwise some features may not work, and your screen might look different when the teacher demonstrates. Please be sure your Apple Pencil/iPad is fully charged and is paired to your iPad. Students will also need a separate computer or device where they can view the lesson on Outschool Zoom.

Skills that will be covered (depending on student's skill level, not all might be covered in one session):
1) Apple Pencil Settings
2) Using Scribble on the iPad
3) Screenshots
4) Simple Drawing in Notes and Annotation of Screenshots
5) Quick Notes
6) Folders
7) Adding/Customizing/Editing Text, Scans, Photos, Checklists, and Tables in Apple Notes
8) Using a Split Screen with Safari to take notes from the internet
9) Other suggested apps to use with the Apple Pencil for notetaking and drawing

This class will be personalized for the student's skill level. They will be able to ask questions and get assistance as they try out the different tricks and strategies.

NOTE: If you do not see a time listed for this class that works for you, please send me a message and we can try to arrange a time that works for both of us.

ALSO: Students will also need a separate computer or device where they can view the lesson on Outschool Zoom while we work in Apple Notes on their iPad.

I look forward to helping students dig deep into all the wonderful features that are available when using an Apple Pencil on an iPad!
