Description
Class Experience
Taking notes becomes from different medias becomes increasingly more important as students enter high school and advance into their college education. This class is designed to help students learn note taking skills and find a method that works for them. *This class does not guarantee that your student will become an expert note taker- it is merely giving skills that the student can use and build upon to create a good foundation.*
I have a minor in History, a subject that requires a lot of note taking as reading texts and lectures are the basis. I found a note taking technique that worked for me and I want to help others find one as well.
Learners will assigned homework through the classroom page. That homework will cover different note taking types, reading and watching a lecture video.
A way to take notes Computer: one note, word.... Paper: note books, pens, pencils, highlighters...
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
- Flipgrid
- Google Forms
There will be a test at the end of class through Google forms, that students will use their notes to take. This assessment will help them decide if their note taking was effective or not.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
