Description
Class Experience
Using a five-step, interactive process, students will improve their ability to speak, to write a simple sentence, and to spell age-appropriate high frequency words. Please note: We will use phonetic (developmentally appropriate) spelling for some words. This course does not focus on spelling, but builds confidence in getting ideas on paper.
I am a licensed PreK-Grade 3 teacher with a M.S. in Elementary Education. During my 20 years as a teacher, I have had extensive training and experience coaching young writers. I am passionate about encouraging a love of writing in my students.
No homework required, but learners are encouraged to practice writing on their own.
Learners will need a pencil or marker and paper.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
