This ongoing ESL reading club will consist of reading comprehension and discussion. Each week students will be reading one non-fiction articles. While the students are reading the non-fiction articles in class, there will be questions asked that students would answer. We will also go over new/difficult words to say. At the end of class will end with a discussion on everyone's thoughts and opinions about the non-fiction article. It could turn into a debate depending on everyone's opinions....
I hope to help my learners build their confidence level when reading in public. It's not easy for some and I feel in this small class size that it helps students feel comfortable reading out loud. I will help students with pronunciation of challenging words and help them understand words. I hope with the topics I have chosen, or the potential ones you choose that my students learn something new in my class.
will be a short response to the article (optional)
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
I will be basing my non fiction articles from National Geographic Magazine and Abridge Academy
