Students will learn how to make a small, fleece dog bed while interacting and talking with others. Students do not need to have any prior skills in order to take this class. Students should be able to tie a knot, measure, and cut using scissors. There is no sewing needed when making this small dog bed. Students will need fleece and an old pillow. Students will begin making the dog bed in class. If a student does not have time to complete the dog bed during class, I will make sure he/she knows...
Students will learn how to make a small, no sew, fleece dog bed.
* 1 yard of fleece (Choose any color or pattern that you like. See suggestion below.) * old pillow (You can use any stuffing. If you want to use Poly-fil, you will need 12-16 oz.) * scissors * ruler, yard stick, or measuring tape * plenty of space (table or floor) Suggestion about the Fleece: 1 yard of fleece is fine, but I like to use two coordinating pieces of fleece to make the bed look cuter. I like to use one decorative piece and one solid color piece. I purchase 1 yard of each. Then I cut each piece of fleece in half to be 36 inches X 30 inches. This is a little more expensive, and you are only using half of the fleece. **If you have two dogs, then this is perfect because you can make two beds. If you want to make two beds, then you will need 2 pillows.** Please note: The minimum required to make the bed is 1 yard of fleece. Two coordinating colors are not necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be using scissors during class, so parental guidance is recommended.
