In this course, we will introduce learners to the exciting art of Jiu-Jitsu as well as, offer help/assistance to those who belong to a Jiu-jitsu academy and feel that they need some extra tutoring.
Class experience
In every class, we will be teaching all of the basic motions and positions that are essential for Jiu-Jitsu training. We will introduce newcomers to the gentle art, and further help those who are beginning their journey with other academies. We will start each class off with: -Basic warm-ups, -basic motions such as; hip-escapes, penetration steps, sprawls, etc. -review basic positions such as mount, side-control, guard, etc. -after this we will review the "move of the day" which will vary...
Our goal is to give new and experienced students a better understanding of jiu-jitsu to help them with their martial arts journey, whether it is through us or their own local academy.
I am a 4th degree black belt in Kempo Karate as well as a competing blue belt in BJJ.
We will be covering moves such as arm-bars and chokes to students. This is something that is already taught in children's jiu-jitsu classes everywhere. We will teach that the gentle art is for self defense only and that they should not be using their martial arts for any other reason. We encourage parents to supervise their children during session and make sure that they have enough room to move around. Most of our moves will be done on the ground.
